The Grand Sierra Employees' Association takes great pride in delivering exceptional services to our members. This includes being readily available by email and phone for questions and concerns, conflict resolution support, regular site visits, handling investigations, grievances and arbitrations as required, advocating for the Association with management, and of course the negotiation of collective agreements  that include competitive wages, retirement savings plans, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, and opportunities for training and career advancement.  We are here for you.

The Grand Sierra Employees' Association was founded in 2017 under the Western Canada Employees' Association.  As the company grew and the workers began to define the Union they wanted, the Grand Sierra workers formed a leadership team to work alongside the Association Representatives to ensure the values and culture of the Grand Sierra Em

The Grand Sierra Employees' Association was founded in 2017 under the Western Canada Employees' Association.  As the company grew and the workers began to define the Union they wanted, the Grand Sierra workers formed a leadership team to work alongside the Association Representatives to ensure the values and culture of the Grand Sierra Employees' Association were upheld as the Association grew.  in 2022, the Western Canada Employees' Association changed their name to the United Workforce Group of Alberta, where Grand Sierra is signatory to.

Leadership Team and Shop Stewards

Leadership Team members of the Grand Sierra Employees' Association are elected  from the organization's own membership. Their primary responsibilities are to adhere to and uphold the Constitution and Collective Agreement of the Association, and guide the association based on their comprehension of the members' needs and their expertise in the industry:
